Regulatory Agencies

Are you an authorised representative of any of the regulating agencies? A regulatory agency under the National Policy on NERD is any of NUC, NBTE, and NCCE. While principal Participating Agencies include the National Library of Nigeria, the NYSC, ITF, Nursing and Midwifery Council, NISLT, etc, the policy recognises the Federal Ministry of Education, and by extension, all states’ Ministries of Education as Coordinating organs.

To use the NERD system as a representative of any of these key organisations, please refer to the implementation directive communicated to your organisation by the Federal Ministry of Education dated 25th of March 2025 with Reference Number FME/S/PPP/362/II/xyz titled “Notification of the commencement of the implementation of the Federal Executive Council's approval of the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) programme and the issuance of the Declaration of Effectiveness for the programme”.

Please follow the directives and instructions in that notice. Submit the details of identified principal officers. Appoint a NERD Focal Person who will, in turn, enrol your institution and help to access NERD Unified Access Credentials for all lecturers and students. You may also send us an email via secretariat@ned.gov.ng, providing details about yourself and your agency. You may also wish to enrol by completing the Enrolment Form HERE. Kindly note that the activation of your account as a representative of a government agency requires back-end validation by your agency.
